Arcadis is a worldwide operating and design and consultancy company. We work in different sectors like industry buildings at fireman and wilder. We have about 27,000 people worldwide so quite a lot but we also fairy locally present. We work with infrastructure in the Netherlands last summer.
We started this project and light rail renovations. We have to renew all the tracks and also lower all the platforms. We have 10 months to do all the design. So very strong time pressure in this project. We saw the input files we got we're right information about the actual situation.
We have to start to design platforms because otherwise, we won't make it any 10 months, but we also knew we going to change the track access because we don't have the right input files. And when we got them everything would change.
So we automated it, and then we knew when we changed the axis platforms would change also. This makes flexible and makes it possible to do all the work in only 10 months we got. Another change was the dynamo script where we programmed the overhead lighting So when we changed the track to complete the sign of the overhead line is ultimately changed that saves us lots of time.
Otherwise, we had to adjust every pole by hand. Our trainee made it together with our engineers and it took her about three months and see can adjust to decide by just push the button and Dynamo, so it's about 5 minutes.
The products for Autodesk definitely helped us with achieving our goals and if you have a dream there is somewhere an Autodesk program can help make the dream come true.
